ℹ️ Important information: unreadable text during installation

During installation, some text may appear unreadable (inconsistent characters). This is normal: it depends on the Windows encoding used by some installers.

👉 The installation remains functional: in most cases, simply click Next at each step.

⚙️ Prerequisites before installation

Before you begin, make sure you have:

  • A PC running Windows 7 / 8 / 10 / 11 (64-bit).
  • The provided archive unpacked (via WinRAR or 7-Zip).
  • Administrator rights on your Windows session.
  • Temporarily disabled antivirus and Windows Defender during installation.
  • Run installers by right-clicking → Run as administrator.

Why? Protections can block/delete files and cause installation failure or an unrecognized interface.

🗂️ Step 1 — Unpacking the archive

  1. Locate the downloaded archive.
  2. Right-click → Extract here (or use WinRAR / 7-Zip).
  3. After extraction, you will get a folder containing the installation file.

Example: folder content after extraction.

🧱 Step 2 — Creating and excluding the AWRoot folder

  1. Create the folder: C:\AWRoot
  2. Add C:\AWRoot to the exclusions of your antivirus and Windows Defender.

➕ Exclude AWRoot in Windows Defender

  1. Windows Settings → Update & Security → Windows Security
  2. Virus & threat protection
  3. Virus & threat protection settings → Manage settings
  4. Add or remove exclusions
  5. Add an exclusion → Folder → select C:\AWRoot

🧩 Exclude AWRoot in your antivirus

  1. Open your antivirus.
  2. Search for: Exclusions / Exceptions / Exclude a folder.
  3. Add C:\AWRoot and confirm.

Important: Never move the C:\AWRoot folder after installation.

💿 Step 3 — Software installation (native installation)

  1. In the extracted folder, locate the installation file.
  2. Right-click → Run as administrator.
  3. Follow the wizard until the end (do not close the window before it finishes).

⏳ Estimated duration: 15 to 20 minutes

Launch the installer in administrator mode.

Depending on the package, a password may be requested (provided with your access).

🧠 Step 4 — Driver installation

Display info: a driver file may appear with an unreadable name. This is due to encoding. The goal is simply to launch the driver installation.

  1. On the desktop (or in the installation folder), locate the driver installation file.
  2. Double-click to launch the driver installation.
  3. Follow the wizard until the end.

If an error appears: restart the driver file in administrator mode.

  • In case of detection issues, restart driver installation (administrator mode).
  • On a laptop: plug it into mains power throughout the installation.
