📌 Tutorial: Installing VIVID 2018 with VirtualBox

1️⃣ Downloading and Extracting

• Download the Vivid 2018.1.zip file.
• Open the compressed archive “ Vivid 2018.1.zip ” with WinRAR / 7Zip software or Windows Explorer.

• Select the "Extract files..." option.
• In the extraction window, choose a location/folder where you want to extract the files.

• Important notes:
  • The "Stakis technik 2018.1" files must be kept together in a normal folder before launching the partition in VirtualBox.

2️⃣ Installing VirtualBox

• Install the VirtualBox partition which will allow you to launch the partition containing the VIVID 2018 software.

• If the error message “Cannot run this application on this device” occurs, you need to download the latest version of VirtualBox instead of the one provided.

VirtualBox: https://download.virtualbox.org/virtualbox/7.1.0/VirtualBox-7.1.0-164728-Win.exe

• Follow the installation steps, clicking NEXT, ACCEPT, and YES at every step. EXCEPT the last one to avoid starting VirtualBox directly.

• Uncheck "start ORACLE after installation", we will launch the partition differently.

3️⃣ Open the partition

• Locate the file " Stakis technik 2018.1.vbox ".

1. In the previously extracted folder, you should find the file " Stakis technik 2018.1.vbox ".
2. This file is crucial for installing Vivid 2018 software in VirtualBox.
3. Double-click it to launch the installation in VirtualBox.

• For the first launch, either the partition will launch automatically, or you will need to click on Start in the top right corner.

• You are now on the partition's desktop; you can open VIVID via the Stakis Technik icon.
