🧰 Installation Tutorial – KSUITE 2.80 for KESS V2

Welcome to this KSUITE 2.80 installation guide, the official software used with the KESS V2 interface for reading and writing engine control units (ECUs) via OBD or bench.
This version 2.80 brings major fixes , better stability and extended compatibility , essential for reliable use in engine reprogramming.

Follow the steps below carefully for a correct and error-free installation.

⚙️ System compatibility

• Compatible interfaces: KESS V2 (firmware 5.017 recommended)

• Operating systems:

  • Windows 7, 8, 10, 11

  • 32-bit and 64-bit

• Administrator rights required

📦 Step 1 – Download and Extraction

1. Download the archive: KSUITE 2.80.rar

2. Right-click → Extract here or Extract to… with WinRAR

3. Place the extracted folder directly in the root of drive C:
   👉 Example:
   C:\KSUITE 2.80\

⚠️ Avoid excessively long paths or folders with special characters.

🔌 Step 2 – Installing the USB Drivers

1. Open the folder:
   C:\KSUITE 2.80\DRIVER\

2. Install in the following order :
   1️⃣ vcredist_x86.exe
   2️⃣ Driver_USBDEVICEDRV.EXE

3. Once both installations are complete, you must restart your PC.

These drivers are essential for Windows to correctly recognize the KESS V2 interface.

🔗 Step 3 – Connecting the KESS V2 interface

1. After restarting, connect your KESS V2 interface via USB

2. Please wait a few seconds while Windows finishes installing the devices.

3. No error message should appear.

🚀 Step 4 – KSUITE Launch

1. Open the folder:
   C:\KSUITE 2.80\

2. Launch ksuite.exe
   (right-click → Run as administrator )

3. The software should open and automatically detect the KESS V2 interface.

You can now:

• Read ECU maps

• Back up the original files

• Write modified maps

• Working via OBD or on a bench , depending on the supported protocol

⚠️ Important advice

• Temporarily disable your antivirus software if it is blocking it from running.

• Never connect the interface to a vehicle without a stable voltage (>13V recommended)

• Always back up the original file before writing anything.

• Do not install multiple versions of KSUITE on the same PC without first cleaning it up.
