Function to be activated via VCDS - VAG-COM software
Option description:
Allows you to activate the ambient lighting and control it with the MMI.
Step 1: Activate the ambient lighting
[09 – Power Plant] -> [Coding- 07] -> [Long Coding Helper]
Octet 16:
Bit 6: Check "Interior/Ambience Lighting Adaptation active"
Step 2: Activate the menu in the MMI
For the Radio Symphony/Concert
[56 – Radio] -> [Coding- 07] -> [Long Coding Assistant]
Octet 8:
Bit 7: Check “Interior Light Settings active”
For the MMI Basic Plus
[07 – Control Head] -> [Coding – 07]
Add " 2 " to the second-to-last digit of the code (old code: 01642 0 1, new code: 01642 2 1)
For the MMI 2G
[07 – Control Head] -> [Adaptation – 10] -> Channel 01
Add "2" to the existing value
For the MMI 3G
Launch the Hidden Menu by pressing SETUP + CAR (for 6 seconds)
car -> carmenuoperation -> interior light -> select "5"
Press "Return"
car -> cardevicelist -> interior light -> check the box
Reboot the MMI by pressing SETUP + Scroll Wheel + Top Right Button.
Functioning:
Ambient lighting
– is permanently activated when the light switch is in the OFF position.
– automatically activates/deactivates when the light switch is in the AUTO position.
– will never light up to 100% (even when selecting maximum brightness).
– will light up to 100% when the doors are opened.
